one is 003537 ( need repair the display' electronic switch)

Just bought an R-d1 from matsuiyastore some 6 hours ago, according to the ad the serial number should be 000270, if it isn't, I'll update when it gets here.

Hopefully I'll start contributing to these forums now when I get the camera.

those R-D1's that were already sold were able to be upgraded to be an R-D1s via a firmware update.

Pardon my ignorance (newbie) but is this a user doable upgrade and what difference does it make?
