Some of them look like great products, the "Billingham" messenger bag look is bound to continue to have more and more imitators over time.

As an aside, I got into Domke bags decades ago, in part because they 'didn't look like a camera bag'. Well, they didn't compared to the cheesy rigid vinyl covered boxes and poor-man's Halliburtons that I first worked with in the 70s. But, really, if you're carrying a camera and you are carrying any bag that bags screams 'more cameras!'

Most thieves are low-risk opportunistic grab-and-dash operators. The worst thing you can do is put down your bag or turn your back on it for a moment. Someone putting a knife or gun to your neck is another story; better listen to him.

You get what you pay for. It is a cheap $35.99 Billingham knock off from Chongqing, China. According to the "Neutral" (aka "money refunded") comments, I wouldn't buy a vintage leather bag that was really a new, pleather (fake leather/plastic) bag that was held together with glue. What's not to love?
 
looks like cheapish stuff to me. Stick with a domke or a billingham. These types of materials tend to be disposable and don't usually wear well.... Synthetic leather get's hot and sticky under the sun, eventually drying up and peeling...
 
Yeah i know but i was looking for a new bag because my current one is finish. I would love a billingham, but can t afford it at the moment..
 
I purchased a bag from them a few months ago. As far as bags go it's pretty good. But as a camera bag, it's really just an insert that makes it a camera bag. It's not bad at all. I was just hoping that the dividers were built into the bag like a Domke instead of just an insert placed in the bag like the Artisan & Artist bags. In all fairness this was shown in the photos and I thought I'd give it a try but I don't really like it.

Another thing is even though I specified that I wanted a green bag, I was sent the tan color. No big deal but it was annoying.

Look at Domke, they make excellent bags for a lot less money than Billingham. They are not as fancy looking but they are very well made. Tamrac is another good quality bag maker, though theirs tend to look 'like camera bags'. I have two tamrac bags I have used for more than 20 years and they still look almost like new.

Hi,

I am carrying with me a rolleiflex, a bessa R3 and a rollei 35 all the time. Plus, my paper notebook, phone, wallet, passport, nexus 7, lightmeter, bunch of films, charger with wires, etc..

Nowadays, i am using this stappleford which i transformed a bit with an insert to put my cameras inside.

It is now dead and was not protective enough as i was expecting.

Thanks Chris, indeed they seems to be more affordable and i will look at them carefully. My main though was the balance between to buy a bag for few bucks that i will have to replace within the next years or, to earn enough to have one for years...
