has anyone glued 2 rear caps back to back yet?
i was about to order a couple of extra caps when i took a good look and there does not seem to be much contact space for a good solid bond.

Try the one-piece twin back-caps from Op/Tech.

Maybe. I was surprised at the range they have. Check! Sorry, but I didn't.

quick way is double sided tape
other way is file the bottoms flat and use plastic glue

Worked perfectly for me (not with Fuji caps). I used plexiglass solvent if I remember correctlyfile the bottoms flat and use plastic glue

I posted in the kshapero's thread about bare rear lens. About using double rear lens caps instead of going bare in this post.

I also added a post about what they looked like here.

space saver...attach 2 lenses back to back...takes up less space in a camera bag..

I did this with a couple M caps using 5 minute epoxy, works great.

Less fumbling and slightLy faster lens exchange as well... I started doing this when I got into shooting w/ rf lenses..

This idea seems fraught with danger. I'm not sure why I'd want to be handling two lenses at the same time, especially when pulling it out of the camera bag. Seems like it would be pretty easy to lose control of one of the lenses that loosens from the cap. And it doesn't seem like it really saves much space at all. Its still two caps and two lenses.

Sounds kind of like taping two machine gun clips together...enhance the fire power envelope if you will. Capital idea if it works for you.

Original way to drop two lenses at one attempt....sorry for being realistic instead of optimistic.

Really, it works fine, though a lot depends on the size of the lenses and the layout of the bag.

i've used 2 caps back to back for years and NEVER dropped a lens.
i reach into my bag and grab the lens and turn...the lenses rarely leave the bag except for a turnover if i want the lens on the bottom.

Leica has sold for years a one piece double rear cap for both R and M lenses. One came with a used lens I bought years ago. Worked fine for stacking two shorter lenses in a camera bag. Never had a problem with it dislodging unexpectedly.
