Muting camera

Just came over this video. It's interesting to see that this camera did shoot a couple of films AFTER the salt bath and then it litterally muted to this:

Imagine all your collection ruined like this

It could have been soaked in a weak acid solution to keep the salt from crystallizing. But I guess there wouldn't be a point since it'd need to have been completely rebuilt anyway.
