Im curious who takes a camera everywhere (not talking about i phones and things). Over the past 6 months i have found when ever i leave the house i tend to grab my bag. I dont take photos everywhere i go but i get comfort in knowwing if i feel like takeing a few shots or come across something interesting i have a camera with me.
For the first time in a month i left my bag at home this morning before going to work and im feeling naked without it.

Yep.--> Well, not generally in the bathroom.

GRDIII & GXR often, though today it's GXR/Biogon + IIIc/Heliar.

Also the Eggleston bon mot about picking up whichever camera looks nicest applies, as well as a certain polycamerous commitment to rotation. (Almost time for the Werra to go out again.)

Arrival of the XE1 will alter the routine while I work on that learning curve.

Yes I do. Never carry a bag but always have a camera. That is actually how I became hooked on rangefinders. I was actually more of an SLR user but my Leica IIIc is a lot more compact than even my Pentax LX.

no, there are times i just do not want the hassle of a camera. Socail occasions for instance, much like the cell phone - it feels soooo good to leave stuff behind

Being fairly new to film (6 months or so since i became serious about it) i would have never thought of taking a DSLR everywhere. Since joining here its just happened that i take one everywhere.
I kind of explined it to my partner as it being like her Handbag. She goes nowhere without that!

I do. I do not know how to behave without a camera.... :)

I think your right about that. It becomes part of who you are very quickly.

Either a GRD IV or an RX100 in my pocket daily. Have carried a compact on a daily basis since I bought a camera with my first weeks wage back in 1973.

Since everyone is taking a camera everywhere here is another question.

How ofte do you use the camera when you carry it?

I usually have a camera of some type with me at all times. I am having breakfast at the McDonalds in front of Tokyo Station as I write, and my M4 is sitting next to my iPad.

Many times in the past I have found myself in a situation where I wished I had a camera, so now I make sure I do. I take a least one photo a day on my commute (I usually commute on foot, and Tokyo is an interesting city), and I love being able to take a shot whenever I see something worthy.

No. There are days where I'm not in the mood to photograph. However, there can be months in a row where I do carry one everywhere. Usually during the winter I'm a little worse about bringing it everywhere. If I do bring it, I use it often though. I don't use my iPhone's camera.
