Time for another fun poll
Who this poll is for:
100% digital photographers who never used film, ever.
The question: What would entice you to give film photography a try?
Film users, feel free to chime in, but this poll is not for you.
Former Film users, same as the above, chime in, but this poll is not for you either.

I challange your premise that you can be a "photographer" and NEVER have used film.

Really? So Joseph Nicephore Niépce wasn't a photographer?
How about Frederick Scott Archer, who invented the collodion process and the Ambrotype?

Interesting.
So what would you call people who took up photography starting with digital?

I'd just started using again film when somebody had lend me an Oly 35RC. It amazed me so much that I had bought myself two, a mint to keep forever and a cheaper one to use it every day.

Oh yeah... that's exactly what I'm gonna do. <chuckle> I'm struggling 'cause I don't even want to spool another 35mm roll onto a processing spool. But still... there' something about film.

One starts using film when one finds out that film is simply better than digital. What I personally like about film is that it isn't 'instant'. One should put some mind and soul in making a good photograph. Lack of 'delete' and 36 or 24 limit makes it a whole lot of different experience. Not to forget the quality of the older equipment.

Great thread subject!
As I have experienced, life is too short, it is later than you think. For one who would like to try film in all of it's iterations, now is the time to do it.
It is inconceivable to me that anyone would not want to dip their toes in the water. What is the worst that could happen? Skinny-dipping!
