California (Bay Area, Northern) Looking ahead to the Winogrand show at SF MOMA

You beat me to it Bob! The show starts on the 7th for members and their guests, the 9th for the masses.

I'm already working on my Winogrand "spastic camera waving" technique just for the event. In his honor I'm planning to shoot 25 rolls of film that day ;)

All kidding aside, it should be a terrific show. Leo Rubinfien put it together, an interesting photographer in his own right.

Hopefully we'll have a nice turnout and we can discuss what we see afterwards over a nice cold beer or munchie.

Ah if only I could go to San Francisco to watch the exhibit!. I'll have to make do with the exhibit's book. Good luck to you all who go see the exhibit in person!

I'll be there with my post-modern kit that Gary would undoubtedly be using today, the Fuji XPro1 and 18/2 lens. And I'll plan to fill up two 16GB memory cards and then put them in a drawer and not look at them for another five years or so. And I'll only be taking pictures of things I want to see what they look like photographed. :)

Actually, Jamie hit on a great idea. Consider this: all images we take when we get together cannot be shown for, say, one month. Or one year? Who's in?

A Winogrand show... Oh boy I'd love to go see that and meet all you guys there...

Have fun! Take some shots and share them!
