Hexar AF — remote trigger in P..?

I've been playing around with a remote flash trigger using the factory HX-14 flash for the Konica Hexar AF. But, the P functionality is lost when using the remote. Any solutions to this? Might I retain P flash mode if I used a hot shoe cable extension instead?

That's sounds like a good thing to try... btw have you had the switch replaced on your Hexar? Don't want to hijack your thread and I am posting another Hexar AF flash question so feel free to respond there.

Hi, I haven't had one that wouldn't clean up yet. But, I anticipate needing to replace one, at some point.
