Comment: This was my first bad experience with RFF classifieds.
The whole story is a little complicated, but I bought a Leica from Dave that I had previously traded to him. He agreed to send it back just as i had sent it to him a few months prior, to include an original Leica script metal backed cap I had provided.
Not to mention overcharging on shipping and the obnoxious emails I received when I refused to pay his PayPal fees or accept blame for his not understanding how his "alternative" payment service worked, the camera arrived without the correct cap, just a $2 plastic knockoff. When I asked him about it he told me he would send the correct one and asked that I contact him a couple of months later because he was away from home. I waited and contacted him this weekend and now he denies I originally sent the more valuable cap and refuses to reimburse me - his proposal was to offer a all plastic M9 cap, which I declined.
This was not a huge loss, but it was not something I would expect from an established RFFer. I would have just written it off, but when he called my integrity into question by claiming I never provided the described cap, I decided to provide negative feedback.
