This is a really nice forum so I've been wondering if there is any good quality forum like this in other subject. In my case, I've been looking for an painter Forum or a musician forum but I can't find anithing like this one.

So, What others forums do you frequently visit?

APUG sometimes, cancelled all the others, eats too much time. APUG is o.k., tho I heard some complaining about the style of conversation, they said they were beaten up a bit because of having asked or discussed digital questions........ :D :D :D

Best,
Bertram

I thought atelier said Periscope.. but I personally think a colonoscope is more accurate.. at least for the process of buying diamonds.. since they're so "rare" and all :eyeroll:

If people are dumb enough to go to a clearly stated all analogue discussion site and then talk digital... :p ;)

For a general-topic forum where you can address virtually any subject and act really retarded to boot, may I humbly suggest www.sternchat.com?

Every now and then I check out the Medium Format Digest on photo.net. It's just as civilised as RFF. Most of the other potentially interesting forums there (esp. Leica photography) seem to be littered with snobs, trollers and know-it-alls. I've given up on those..

Apart from here:

- PNet, mainly in the classic camera forum (although I do follow the others when I have time). All my RF cameras are older than I.
- APUG, but less frequently
- Beststuff Russian Camera forum, what with a Moskva 5, Iskra I and II
- Largeformatphotography.info, but less frequently

This has been a very useful thread. I now frequent two new sites and, in addition, the art site is of great interest to my wife. Thanks y'all!

Oddly enough I look at dslrexchange . It's nowhere near as active as this one but there are a few familiar people over there. It's sort of the digital version of this one. Just goes to show that that people can appreciate different forms of capture.

yep, I've run into Fred over at dslrexchange, as well. For those of you who don't know, it's another site that Jorge operates identically to RFF.. unfortunately, there was a database meltdown over the weekend and the gallery was wiped out

Thanks for this one, Oldprof! Just what I've been looking for.

Glad you liked Arts & Letters Daily Gene. It's my favorite "magazine" site.

Love it! It's like walking into the reading room of a university library and scanning all the current periodicals -- only easier.

Other ones? Photo.net (where peacocks and loons clash).

I used to frequent RobGalbraith.com, but the quality of its community seriously declined in the past half or so year, it used to be an excellent source of information and debate.

I hardly ever even lurk at Fredmiranda anymore; it's really not my cup o' tea.

I have rarely looked at DSLRExchange.com, but I shoot so much more film, and with my rangefinder gear even more, that I've lost touch with the "buzz".

I like this forum the best; it's more international, and I can read without my eyes hurting w/every other post! ;)
