Really great idea for a w/nw thread Lynn, and some excellent pictures by all contributors.
This gentle and proud man lives at the town dump in Oaxaca, Mexico. He makes his living by sifting through the stuff other people discard in order to find things, like plastic bottles, to sell. He's not quite alone - he has his dogs (you might see one behind him). I don't know if he has any family.
In return for allowing me to take his picture I gave him four oranges and my shoes (his were worn out).

I like that your photograph appears to allow the man to present himself as he wishes to be seen within his environment rather than as he may be found....still haven't found the dog yet!
