Eh. Last year was Red Sox. This year is White Sox. Next year is Cubs. The rest is irrelevant...

Maybe so, I'm just happy to be there!

I wish I could be for a "team". It's never the same lineup every year, something died in the late 80's. They're not "teams", they're brandnames.

Yet I like the World Cup. A rather nice consistency with countries and their football 😉

Oh, and agreed: I used to be a Dodgers fan. So anybody who is playing against the Yankees.

Todd, have a ball! Two Toronto teams went to the Series and it electrified the city. So much fun to be there! This has the makings of a fine World Series -- two well-matched teams with a lot to play for. I *love* baseball in October.

Hey Todd, glad to see you around. How are things in Houston?

I am looking forward to some very well pitched games. I think overall the Sox have a better team, but the Astros offense has been playing well and things can be much worst than having the first three games started by Pettitte, Clemens and Oswalt.

I was pulling for the Astros -- good to see them (and the White Sox) in the World Series, both long overdue. You've got two Connecticut boys, Ausmus and Bagwell, on that team.

So true. I've been living here long enough to remember when the Red Sox were a "team".

But its happening in football too at least at the club level, players are beginning to cheange a lot just like in baseball here. They have become very mercenary although I suppose you can't blame them - the sporting life is pretty short. What is peculiar in football is that sometimes a club side doesn't have a single player from their country in the line-up. Chelsea have sometines played without a single Englishman in the side for example. I find that very strange.

Anyway congrats Todd and lets hope its a great World Series. Its nice to see two teams there who haven't won much recently.

Todd, you're not bandwagoning are you? Don't the locals and the true fans call them the 'Stros? 😉 Sorry, I'm a National league guy, but one of the first professional teams I ever saw play was the White Sox (at the old park). So I've a soft spot for the team. Normally, I pull for any National league team (except the Dodgers [mortal enemys of the Giants, and all that is decent in this world]). I've two rolls of 120 TriX that say the Sox win. ???

It's a bet, two rolls of Tri-X 120 on the 'stros 😀.

Congrats on Astros first W.S.

As a Yankees fan I lost interest after the Angels knocked us off.

Guess for me it's: "Wait 'til next year!" :bang:
