I am fortunate to live in a quiet and fairly genteel inner suburb about 5 kilometres south of Adelaide's CBD surrounded by more opulent suburbs but still very much part of my neighbourhood.
The second image (the street scene) is about 200m from my home, just around the corner in fact. The first is about 1 kilometre away, technically in a different suburb, but still a part of my wider neighbourhood through which I move daily. (If this feels back to front this is because I seem not to be able to control the sequencing of pics on this site.)
The tree photos brought this to mind. My Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum) which lives in my small front yard. This is at the end of November and the leaves have turned a lighter red. Soon they would be gone.
In post, while doing a little dodge and burn I noticed this gentleman’s umbrella is in fact a child’s one with cartoon Dinosaurs all over it. Funny how you don’t see these things when you take a shot.
Also, my house is to the left of this gentleman’s umbrella, so this image worked for this thread. 😉
