Thankfully my wife is very understanding. I am the only one that ever tells me I have too many cameras. But I lie down until the feeling passes...

I used to say that I did not sell any of the older ones and that they just accumulated, the occasional growth of some curiosities is justified by their potential fulture value. A shelf or three of intricate mechanics and well thought out glass is much less difficult to keep than veteran cars or classical paintings .

The downside is that for classic cameras, unlike classic paintings, there is no established global network for creative accounting. No foreign holding establishments a la Tenet. And upon that realization, perhaps there is an untapped market here. 😄

Paraphrasing cycling forums... the correct number of cameras to own is n +1, where n is the number of cameras you currently own. This can also be written as s - 1, where s is the number of cameras that would cause your significant other to leave you.
