Who says Nikon RFs are expensive?

That was a steal. I've noticed before that items sold to USA only are sold for much less than they would if sold internationally. Asian and European buyers are prepared to pay higher prices on most classic camera gear.

SP prices have been reasonable in recent months, but that's one is exceptionally affordable. Probably it sold cheap because people are afraid to buy SPs because they're so expensive. (Or, as Yogi Berra once said, "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded.")

>>not a bad deal if it does not need a lot of expensive work.<<

Nikon RFs seldom need much work. They're pretty tough cameras, inside and out, and they seem to work well even when left in someone's closet for a couple of decades.

That's weird. A couple of hours ago there was at least a day left on the sale, with no "buy it now" price.

While this may be true I've lost a lot of money by offering my auctions to overseas buyers only to lose the sale because they refused to pay the higher shipping costs which is not set by me but by the shipper and buyers want me to falsify the customs information..

There was another one on there the other day that an SP & 35/1.8 combo that hinted at a bin $1000. I would have done that in a second, but perhaps it was a fake and ebay actually caught one this time.

I'm watching this one but will be traveling and not sure about net access where we are staying in FLA.

There have been some bargins, perhaps 2007 will bring an SP my way.

Here is a NEW Nikon S3 in black with the fast 1.4 for under $2700!
Try to find a used M6 with a used 1.4 for that price....and I rate the S3 more like a MP:p

As a matter of fact there is one HERE in the classifieds for even less!...click on the following link:

Now go out there and buy yourself a Nikon.

A lot of unsold stuff at ebay liveauctions today (Tamarkin Photographica) , i.e. a S3 asking 800 USD (plus the 17% commission) in a at least very good user condition.

But was it unsold or not? I found it from 'Completed Items' list.
