Got my new website!

I am excited, got my new website finally up and running. I wanted something simple, and not loaded up with every single picture I have taken since my birth on the planet. See what you think. You have licence to be positively critical if you wish.

The site is very clean and simple, which is refreshing, but I do have some comments:

1) I feel that the front page promises something that isn't always available.

For example: When I hover over "Personal", two photos are highlighted (the bike and the mannequin). When I click on Personal to see that gallery, the mannequin photo isn't even there, and the bike picture is only there in a modified version. Sort of a let-down...


2) Clicking on a photo opens that picture in a window. But, after I close the window, if I want to go back to the front page using the browser navigation buttons, I have to click my "Back" button twice, because the click went to an anchor, which adds an entry to the browse history. This is annoying. Browser is Firefox 2 in Windows 2000.


3) The Journalism page isn't available. The link takes you to "journolism.htm", which is obviously a misspelling.

There are a lot of faces I like in your website. What equipment do you have? Ever used SLR for shooting those portrait from long distance?

Some superb photos. But it's disappointing that some of the photos on the front page aren't actually in the galleries (even though they get highlighted to suggest they are). Also, it would be nice if the photos on the front page were links to the galleries they are in.

Andrew, great SE Asia documentary work! I like the simplicity of your website design, however I'm not a huge fan of flash navigation. It seems a bit unnecssary on the front page, and I agree with oscroft, it would be nice if the highlighted images were also gallery links.

Calvin, all of these photo's were taken on a digital slr. I have just recently found the beauty of film since joining this site. Just bought a Mamiya 6 and will be taking it on my next trip.
