Zeiss USA is in the process of establishing a designated service center for the Zeiss Ikon system (camera & lenses) in the USA. Expect an announcement within the next few months. Once domestic service is established, there will no longer be a need to send equipment to Japan or Germany for service & turnaround time should be quicker.

Sorry, Joe, I didn't ask. My inquiry was to Zeiss USA.

If Zeiss USA could establish its own courier service through a Canadian transit point, that would do the trick and avoid customs issues, etc. The Canadian distributor was a separate independent company, so they would need to be involved unless Zeiss now handles Canadian distribution directly.

hm.....thats good news, I wonder if information like this is a good way of putting two and two together and say if they are going to invest money into service stations around the world and what not, does that mean that they are planning on other cameras in the future? hehe...just wishful thinking
