I realize it's bloody cold - but I was thinking of weather permitting (ie. above 20f) either shooting downtown the first weekend of February... or heading to the Garfield Park conservatory to shoot indoors if it's below 20.

RD, I just re-read your post... and your idea of downtown sounds good. In fact, Ken & I were talking about it this afternoon (in a small, improptu Northern Illinois meeting of Great Minds today! ).
In fact, it'd be nice to get together, hit Central Camera in the morning, shoot around until the light fades (after the appropriate breaks for coffee of whaterver else be needed), and then gather impressions and head home.
Anyway, I don't have as much time as before, but I'll be ready.

Can't play in February, but the idea is great. If it goes well, set something up again for late March or early April & I'll try to arrange the work schedual.

The current predicted weather for next Saturday is Mostly cloudy, 10 degrees (F) and a bit windy.
That does dampen my spirits a bit, and push me in the direction of something indoors. But I can be swayed if the rest of the crew wants to stay outside. Looking forward to this one way or another.

Well, this is Chicago, after all...If you don't like it, just wait a bit and it will change!
I'm still leaning toward the outdoors...let's give it a couple of days and see where the forecast lies at that point.
