Does anyone here use last.fm I did a search and only found it in the what are you listening too now thread, but I couldn't find the comments so I thought I'd make a thread.
So anyone?
my addy is http://www.last.fm/user/RdEoSg/
For anyone who doesn't know what this is. I am not the best to tell you because I just joined today after much prodding from some friends, but essentially the site is this. You join the site and download a little program from them. Then as you are using iTunes or some other music player on your compy that they support, the program keeps track of the songs you are listening too online. As you listen to more and more, it starts to give you recommendations based on what you listen too. Apparently it will let you know of other people that listen to similar songs and such as well. You can add your friends and keep track of what they are listening too as well. Makes it easy to learn about new music that you haven't heard of before.
Thats it in a nut shell I guess. It is cool in how it also will give you the bio of the band and album cover art and so forth for any given song you have listened to as well. I think it will do it for other peoples songs as well so you can see who or what this song is!

For online tunes, I strongly suggest Atlantic Sound Factory radio.
A one-man hobby station from Iowa that is nothing less than fantastic (most of the time) playing a mix of classic and contemporary rock.
I listen to the station all day long, day after day.

well I still plan to use iTunes. I am more interested in using this just for the fun of seeing what sort of songs it recommends to me and what I tend to listen to mostly etc.
EDIT: Thanks Dave. I've bookmarked that site.

BTW -- Atlantic Sound Factory is listed in iTunes radio stations. That's how I first discovered it.
