WOT: Canon 20D Focusing Screens

yes, yes, it's an SLR. yes, yes, it's digital. Right now I don't care because I trust you guys more than any other forum.

Has anybody here replaced the focusing screen on their 20D with one from the likes of KatzEye? I'm getting a 24/1.4 for my birthday and really can't find myself easily focusing wider lenses even with bright apertures; thus I'd like to revert back to an Manual focus-style split prism focusing screen.
I'd mostly like your opinion on the quality/usefulness of screens, as I've found plenty of easy tutorials on the web for the actual replacement process.

I didnt know you oculd replace the focus screens in the 20D, I have one, if it can be done look for a nice manual focus screen indeed!

I've used a KatzEye screen on an E300.
It was very useful, however not easy to install.

Anyhow, I have a Haoda screen in my 20D and a KatzEye screen in my 300D. The KatzEye is a bit brighter, but pentaprism in the 20D compensates.

I changed them both myself, and the only tool you really need is a strong toothpick - seriously. Tweezers can be useful, but only the toothpick is necessary.

I got a focusing screen for my 20D off ebay, did a silly thing (used canned air to dust the area fter removing the screen, and the shim scratched the screen with the focusing indicators, so I had to order and fit a replacement (about £7 so not a big damage) now everything is im place and works a treat.
SO if U plan to use canned air remove the shim first!
