Eh, now what?

Foo. More uglies that someone will try to sell as being simpler or easier. No big deal as that forum is still dying...

I saw it. I think it's an improvement over the old interface. But P.nut isn't quite my cuppa tea. I just drop in now and then to see what's going on.

I was a frequent photo.netter before RFF.
You guys converted me.
I've seen the changes. Not sure what to think about it. I would like the modern design and the new colour scheme better, BUT, on my MacBook / Safari it is totally screwed up, Links, buttons are overlapping, frames are intersecting each other... Dunno what's wrong. I'm a Mac beginner so not sure if the err is on my side ort theirs.

Ah and the annoyance is, i can't even brag about it
the feedback "forum" (once it was within the forums) is very well hidden, i can't find it in two minutes and it is not THAT important to seriously look for it
And they made a very bad web design mistake: Putting a link to the front page ON the front page. COnfusing and time-wasting. It's within the ten worst mistakes of designing a homepage. See here: http://www.useit.com/alertbox/20031110.html

The best camera is one that still works!
Yes big improvement ... my Nepal 94 slideshow has gone west and refuses to work properly? I only get a very small image (thumbnail) when I activate the 'slideshow' button???

Keith, that's a shame coz those are quite some photos worthwile of watching in LARGE... unlike most of the PNet "highest rated" shots...

Wow, now that's brilliant. Click slideshow, click image, click miniature image icon, get taken back to the single image view. Awesome
What a rubbish site.
Pity, maybe they're jealous you're capable of taking some amazing photo's, whereas the regulars arent?

Ah looky looky
Like RML, I pop in only occasionally. Eversince I started coming here, I've spent less time over there.

Pherdinand, you need to make your font size smaller in Safari, then you won't get the overlapping buttons/frames, etc. If you don't have font size buttons (a big and small "A") next the the "forwards/back" buttons in your Safari window, you can acccess this thru Preferences.

Hmm, why did they remove the thread dates from the forum index pages? Now you have to click on a thread to see when it was posted, unlike before when the date was shown next to the author name.
P.net definately cemented their reputation as P.nut this time...

The new design is okay - they've fumbled the front page, though.
Still love P.net. The Leica forum is haunted by cranks and doesn't hold a candle to this place, but some of the other forums, (classic camera, medium format, wedding), are really good and pleasant places to pass some time.

You are right of course, thanks. I will try. But some of the link fonts that overlap are large, but the normal text is just okay on my small laptop screen. If i reduce font size, how will I read the stuff?
ok does not matter.
Actuyally command-alt-minus reduces, i think. Easy.

The classic camera forum over there is a real gem, with extremely nice people and no trolls or snobs.
