Taken around my college. Loved the gloomy sky and light that day, and shot the lens wide open for most of the roll, where it looks best. I love this film's tones when it's processed with dr5, but I won't be getting their scans of the roll again - 9 bucks for a 768px file of pretty poor quality.

This film is also repackaged and sold under other names, for instance Maco UP25 Plus; shop around and find the cheapest supplier and you're laughing.

Amazing tonality. I liked most the last one with so interesting light spread in the sky

Madman,

Nice work...very good composition and excellent results in the darkroom. I just picked up some of the Efke 25 last weekend and have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I'm going to find time because I really like the look.

Superb pictures, Jon.

Efke 25 delivers gorgeous tonality, even when processed as a negative. If those are the scans from DR5, they look fine to me, although a bit small for the price :(

Cheers,

Fine work -- so many classic elements we love here coming together nicely: composition, film, light, camera gear and lenses used, etc.

Thanks for the comments. I got two rolls of Velvia developed at the same time, and the scans from the efke look great compared to those, but that's not exactly saying much. The results I typically get having them scanned with a Frontier scanner are better, which aren't even close to what I've seen from good dedicated film scanners.

I can't seem to save up the 600 bucks for a scanner, and now that I looked at the pictures of Gabriel M.A.'s Hasselblad in the classifieds, I don't even know if I want to invest in a 35mm-only machine :p
