In response to BrianPhotog's excellent suggestion (in my thread on Hong Kong street shots), let's broaden the category to any street shots taken in Asia, wherever and whenever that's been. Just tell us where or, for fun, let RFFers guess!

My gallery is pretty full of that, no bessa, but some vitessa. But here's another from Tokyo about 3 weeks ago taken with the Contax T.

I looked through all my photos of China and Taiwan that I have digital, and only thought this one is worth posting. And it doesn't even show anything especially "asian" :)

I loved the contrast between the busy Taibei streets during the day, and the quietness at night. So I often went on long walks through the city at night, taking the f1.7 of my Yashica to it's limits :)

Please let me know what you think. I have no one to give me feedback (gf is supportive but not critical haha), so am rather unsure about my shots.

edit

Just now noticed this is the Cosina Voighlander forum (came in through "active threads"). Sorry for the Yashica pic! :)

Is this thread limited to pics taken with a Bessa? If not, can we have this thread moved somewhere more appropriate? I'm pretty sure there are a lot of members with street shots of Asia taken with different RF cameras. :)

I've got lots of shots from various places in Asia, some which could be called "Street", which you can see from the "My Site" link in my sig. But as none of them are rangefinder shots I won't show them here.

Dnemoc: Where are those taken? Pakistan or India?

JL: That first shot is great! Maybe a tad dark but still a great shot.

A couple shots from Chongqing, China:

R2a, CV 35 PII, Ilford XP2
The people in that house refuse to leave because the mall/housing development that has moved in wont give them enough for their land. Wonder how long until the place "burns down".

The guy is beating out a meager living selling fruit right across from the Mazreati show room. Nice eh?

I am waiting on my other two rolls of bw film I have taken with the R2a, will post more later.

We've gotten some great images on this thread, and a couple of donors that have suggested it be open to any RFFer. So, I moved it to General Discussion in the hope that you non-CV users will feel free to share your best!

Not really all "street" photos, but at "http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=50'>My Gallery", the retarded lady, 3 women in the Taegu market, the two farmers and old and new Korea, are all village or street scenes from Korea over 30 years ago. Forgive my inabilities at post processing. The printed photos were at least acceptable.

The 3 women were taken with a Yashica MAT 124 G, and the rest with a Mamiya Super Press 23.

Hi EmilGil,

My pictures were taken in a remote village market in West Bengal, India. The light was quite bad, around dusk, and on top of that I did some ps work on it in a fit of rage, which made it even worse.

Best regards,
- Debasish.
