The people in that house refuse to leave because the mall/housing development that has moved in wont give them enough for their land. Wonder how long until the place "burns down".

...

Reminds me of two old sisters from St Joseph, MO, about 50 years ago. Sears decided to buy up a whole block for a store and parking lot. The two old sisters would not sell for any price offered. Since they had bought the rest of the block, Sears just built around them. The last time I visited the store, the house was still there, but that was years ago and neither the house nor the store may be there now. That may not work so well at the location you photographed. Nice catch.

Is this thread for Bessa photographs only? If so, my pictures don't belong here, and I'll gladly delete them. Please let me know.

Best regards.

No Big Macs in this place! You have to find your own ground beef down a lane...

This is from the market by my old house on the border of Cambodia, I haven't bothered to photoshop it, but this is the kind of thing I like for street. The camera was a Bessa R2 with a 35 1.7 lens.

Resized to 900 but still a straight image, no photoshop, burning, or dodging.

WOW I'm surprised the local government didn't step in and ordered them to leave! How is that house even useful as it is?

I started the thread in the CV Bessa forum simply because I happened to be in the forum at the time, but am not adverse to any photos from any cameras used by RFF members! Hence why I moved it to the General Discussion forum.

I think we've seen some excellent posts here.

We all have our minor vices! I think I stated that photos from any RFF member are welcome, so unless there are other purists who object, your DSLR photos would be of interest. Especially if you explain why or why not you feel they could only be taken with a DSLR.
