wow pricey accessory

It does not fold. I think the balls on sticks can easily catch onto other surfaces. I don't know if the wire is made from very stiff metal.

Wow, that is pricey - I could see paying up to $49.95 but only after a couple of drinks. Kind of cool though - I wonder how quickly it would break.

50 bucks would buy you a lot of paperclips, which would appear to be the base material for this product.......

Err, got a few paper clips and an old hotshoe-pc adapter? Just bust out the pliers and super glue...

Interesting idea though.

Good idea, but it seems too easy to go out of shape or break. I don't think this will last for one day of use.

Neat looking gadget but a hundred bucks buys an awful lot of film.

I once built a similar frame from balsa wood and used whiffle balls for the dots. It worked fine until I used it in a strong wind.....

I tend to think the site might be date related . . . . ?

But if anyone wants to buy one, I have a cunning plan with some sticky-backed plastic and matchsticks here that can really let you use up some cash.

I think it's a really cool gadget, but the price does not psychologically match it. Perhaps two for that price? I think some shops could use some demo samples.

I like the deluxe version, just US$700: http://www.directorsviewfinders.com/

For my 4x5, I have a piece of plastic with a 4"x5" rectangle cut in the middle. You hold the frame in front of your face to compose. You either guess the distance that the frame has to be in front of your face for a chosen focal length, or you have a piece of string that it knotted for various focal lengths to set the distance between your face and the frame. Lets me walk around and compose shots, quite a lot easier than moving the camera and tripod. This Leica gadget, if it's for real, works the same way. Mine cost $2 or $3.
