Hope this isn't old news but I stumbled upon a UK site that has tons of scanned Yashica materials (along with other cameras), manuals, full (large) workshop manuals, and some promotional materials. Of particular interest is the Yashica "Leaflet".
Here is the site: http://www.provins.org.uk/

Click over the text to enlarge, it's very readabe for this kind of scan. This leaflet is interesting in a lot of ways. Talks about the various lenses and their designations on page 1 but it also - interestingly, talks about how their cameras have a "three CdS resistors" (page 5). One to measure the foreground, one to measure the background, and one to make sure the two are balanced properly.
Perhaps this is why these cameras are so sensitive and seem to meter so well?

Nick,
Roger used to keep a lot of that info hidden from the public, but I guess he has decided that a wider audience is worth the effort. Definitely a nice guy and a very useful source of Yashica info.

Great site!
The information on the Yashica G Electro is well worth having.

Hat's off the Roger! Nice to see someone with a worse addiction to these things than I. Glad this isn't "old news".

I don't suppose anyone has the service manuals for the Lynx 5000 and 5000e?
I can host them up freely, if someone can provide them to me! (One of the benefits of working for the local Telco/ISP
)
It's nice to have the Electro guide... tho I think I'm too nervous to dismantle mine, as it's in VERY good condition... just needs a good CLA to correct shutter speeds I think. Now my 5000 and 5000e... those are "learner" cameras for repair.
