Hi, I have silver S3 2000 which I love but I wish it was all black. Besides putting the ugly black tape on the camera, is there any other relatively cheap way of doing this. Also, will the tape damage the camera. Looking for your opinions.

Cheaper to buy a Black S3 2002 than painting a Chrome S3 2000! Painting the camera could cost you $500!! Unless you do it yourself....
Black tape should not harm the camera unless you use the wrong type.

I use black electrician's tape. Works just fine and really makes the camera less conspicuous.

Sorry if this comes across as rude, but that's just atrocious! I'd at least make the tape consistent throughout the camera, as opposed to splotches of it here or there with other parts wide open (eg. the top plate between the hotshoe and rewind)

Friends,
You are CRAZY!! Cameras are meant to be used to take photos with - who cares if they are black or chrome - you probably need to go and see your shrinks!

PS: I have to admit that my Yashica Electro 35´s are all black somehow - I have deliberately bought the CC, GT and GTN to just get the black ones.... Hmmmmm, can´t understand why !?? :)
