Hello,
I wonder what would be a reasonable price these days for a used R-D1 in excellent condition since I am interested in buying one. I been offered a kit that includes
a CV 35mm 1.7, CV 50mm 1.5, 2 M lens adapters plus a Luigi's case.
I will appreaciate any comment!
Regards,
Ricardo

If I had to pay USD$2000 to get that kit I'd think I'd got a good deal, would go up to around USD$2250 if the lenses were in good condition and the M adapters were either Voigtlander or Leica. That's based on UK prices, I don't know how things hold up over the pond:
£800 for R-D1
£150 for Ultron
£150 for Nokton
£100 for case and adapters
£800 for R-D1
£150 for Ultron
£150 for Nokton
£100 for case and adapters

Hi Ricardo, Although most users are purchasing only CASES from me, I am a camera seller, too !
I still have a few R-D1 NEW, UNOPENED, SEALED IN THE BOX, WITH OFFICIAL
ITALIAN WARRANTY by Nital, the same official Nikon distributor in Italy.
I can sell some at Eur 1.500, only, + the preferred shipping. Converted in US$, are $ 2,025... NEW.
Ciao to all, Luigi
July the 21st 2007 addition: Luigi there. Several of my R-D1 new have been sold
(well under my purchasing cost...
in my hands is exactely the same of my cost: Eur 2.650 each, sorry. Seem that
Epson have no more of them in stock, and not the intention to make them... Will see...

Dear Luigi,
Thanks for the reply and for the wonderful case for my D2... seems like the red stitching make quite an stir in the Leica Forum!! A love or hate thing, I love it
)
Anyway, regarding the RD1 you know I am still thinking about it, I sold mine and the new owner wants to sell it back to me, (including the Luigi's case of course) but I am also very tempted by the Leica Digilux 3/L1 specially the L1 that can be found very cheap these days... But I will let you know. Thanks!

1. It ain't no RF, but still a nice unit.
2. The AF has only 3 pts, so it stinks.
3. I sold it and get sharper pictures with my R3M & CV 40mm.
4. Even with the lens stablization on the L1, I could go slower with the R3M.
Best of luck,

Hi Ricardo
I bought my R-D1s + 50mm CV 1.5 + voigt M adapter combo a short while ago for 1800 US$ including insured shipping .
A very nice set for a reasonable price.
Had to pay € 280 on Taxes
(inport from outside EU) wich is less good.
Still very content with the kit.
