It's the motorized 500C Hasselblad, Raid. A little bit higher than the 500C but otherwise
very similar (and cheap).

Most of my problems were mechanical. The Rollei rep told me they were designed for hard commercial use and that seemed to be the way there were designed with removable backs and polaroid back. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. There were plastic gears in the transport and the rollers in the backs would freeze up and scratch the entire length of a 36 exp. roll. I used Rollei SL66's for 25 years and ised them hard. I shot more film with them than I did with the 3003's each year. I had almost no problems except rebuilding backs every couple of years untill the last few years I used them. In the end I totally wore them out and finally after they were discontinued the parts supply got tougher so I finally sold them and went Hasselblad. I guess I expected the same quality in the 3003's as I did in the SL66's. For that reason I've been afraid of the new generation electronic Rolleis for that reason.

I have heard good things about the Rollei SL66, but I am now content with my Rollei 2.8D as my only Rollei MF camera that I use. I also have an Automat with a 3.5 lens. I don't want to buy any heavy SLR type cameras anymore in my life time. I am now older and I realize that traveling/moving with lighter equipment is more enjoyable.

I started with Praktica PB system with Zeiss origin.
Then I switch to Rolleiflex SL2000F with the Zeiss lenses for many years.

I like electronic body so only extensively using the SL2000F.
Only recently I switch to Contax SLR system more for the better lens programme. I am still keeping one set of the Rollei SLR lenses.
Also I am using the ZM serires of Zeiss lenses with the Rollei 35RF (I could have been using the Bessa R2 but I am a Rollei supporter and also for that 40mm Sonnar).

For medium format I have the SL66 and the SL66E and few lenses but do not use them extensively.
I really like the look of the Rollesi HFT coating, the reddish brown colour. Contax T* is the boring green / blue. Sorry many a time I buy thing for the look. : D
Sad that Rollei is not doing so well and I think they are moving away from Zeiss already.
In those Rollei days I travelled with SL2000F and 6-7 lense from fisheye to 200mm, with a Voigtlander VSL-3E as back up. Have not been travelling after having 4 young kids. Not sure by the time I am able to do travel again can I managed the same with the Contaxes. But nevermind the range finder 35RF will then be there. Age is catching up.

You were lucky not to have problems with your SL2000F. I only encountered problems so far with my SL2000F.

Hi! Raid, yes VSL-3E is almost identical to SL35E, short of some features like multiple exposure switch and variable self timer. Since they used the same electronics they were equally not reliable and prone to sudden death. However my theory is that if u can still find a working body now it is likely to be a good one after surviving for so long. They are very nice looking bodies to me, and the models prior to these are boring, though the SL35 would be the most reliable and also very good for use with M42 lenses.
I bought a SL2000F used and a 3003 new both did not give me problems at all. But then I am not a professional so these bodies only subjected to amatuer use. The SL2000F typically took about 40 rolls per one overseas trip. I was lucky I think.

Those pictures on my website are all my Rolleiflexes. I still have SL35, SL35M, SL35ME, SL35E, VSL-3E, 3003 white body, 3003 black, SL2000F black, and a SL2000F previous owner modify the leather of the body. The last one is the body I used all the time, and also suffered a serious drop from tripod that need a major repair by Rollei.

I will again have the SL2000F fixed. This time, it costs me $225 as a special deal for me, including 4 months warranty. When I get the camera back, I will use it every occasion I getto get my money's worth. I must be crazy to spend more money on such a money eating moster!

Raid, actually exactly what's wrong with your SL2000F? These bodies work only well on rechargable NiCd or NiMH batteries. Sometimes if u use alkaline the camera will jam. However not all behave the same to alkaline, some will work fine but it is quite clear that the motor is more powerful with rechargeables. Later models discourage the use of alkalines.
