After searching the forum, I've decided to buy a good adapter for my M6 and a Jupiter 12 35mm lens (thanks,Tom for this great present. Nice lens!!) and avoid the chinese ebay ones due to not knowing if they're going to work. I have the option to buy Voigtlander from cameraquest, total amount, about 60 euros new. I have found a local shop in Madrid where I live, that sells the original Leica adapter for 35mm framelines, costing 100 euros second hand. I think it's a bit pricey, but it's the only option I have in local stores. So do you think it is worth the 100 euro for the Leica or I'll be ok with a Voigtlander?.
Any other options, please let me know. Even if you have one for 35 mm framelines you don't want, I'll be glad to buy it
.
Javier.

Javier,
I have the Voigtlander adapters from Cameraquest on my Voigtlander 35 and 21 lenses. I use both lenses on my M6 and ZI, they work beautifully on both bodies.
Cheers!

I've decided to buy the Voigtlander. Seems the better option. Thanks for the answers.

Shooter of Film...
Just a silly question based on over hearing other conversations...
While using an adapter on a screw mount lens does it affect the focus at Infinity???
If it does..is it an issue...I know that stopping down should remedy it but other than that???

The adapter scheme was designed by leitz when they introduced the M3 in '53 to allow old (screw) lenses to be used transparently on the new (bayonet) camera.
There is no loss in function.

...UNLESS the thickness of the adapter is off. Very rare with high quality adapters.

I forgot about the M5 and CL users, who need to mill the adopters for the symmetric wide angles or damage the meter cells, sorry...

Sure do any lens like a
3.4 SA 21mm
2.8 Elmarit 28mm(early)
J12 35mm
all need milled mounts/adapters or 'clunk' as the cell hits the lens...
