Looking for a used 1.25 magnifier, Has anyone used this and how well does it help with the focus?

It really helps, Ken. Even with the M3. But you will also detect RF misalignment if there, so it can be a bit depressing.

I find the magnifier works very well. I have the .72 VF and it certainly helps when using the 90 cron at wider apertures at closer quarters. With glasses though I have to remove it with the 35.

I find it helps more with framing than with focus...but I don't really use mine very often. I bought it when I bought my first Leica thinking it would be really helpful, but I only seem to use it when I am trying to do a focus test or something. Otherwise it is just too fiddly. If you use primarily 90mm and 135mm lenses I think it can be useful, but if you are more of a wide angle shooter or change lenses from telephoto to wide a lot, it can be a bit annoying to take on and off all the time.
And no, I am not selling mine...

Buy the ones from China. They are well made and cheap.

I use one whenever I'm using a 50mm or 75mm lens on my MP. Definitely helps with focusing and worth the $$$$$.

Well-known
I have one off-brand (HK) - albeit maide in China (or HK ?) it is well made. I found it useful with longer lenses, use it routinely with my 90mm Elmarit on my M6. Makes focusing (and also composing) easier and more precise. Fiddling ? probably, if you switch lenses often on the go, but I do not and used to switch lenses for a long-term sessions duration.
The magnifier can also be used for 50mm lenses on x0.72 bodies. I used to leave the magnifier attached all the time shooting with either 50mm or 90mm lenses until recently, however for an obstacles wearer like me 50mm frame lines are pushed too far towards the edges making them hard to see, so I abandoned my habot of leaving it on the camera all the time, but only for 90mm lens.

I was able to find a used one very reasonably. It's a huge help on my .72 M6 with my 75 and 90 lenses.
I've been meaning to try it on my M3 with the 90!

I wonder does the magnifier works efficiently on my Leica M6 (0.58 Viewfinder)?

The HK supplies magnifier is great on my M5 for 50, 90, and 135mm lenses. I remove it for the 35mm.

I have one for my 90/2.8. It helps a little but not as much as I would have liked.
The other day I forgot it and didn't miss it much once I got into shooting. Got a good deal on a Leica so I'm keeping it.
