This canyon is part of the rock platform. I made a project of photographing it and other nearby features where scale is difficult to assess. To get this POV I lay on the rocks and lowered the LX3 to just above water level.

Looking south along the Mono Divide from the Bear Creek Trail (#28E01), Sierra National Forest. Three consecutive 35mm frames taken handheld, arranged as a panoramic triptych.

Nikon FM2n, AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.8S, Kentmere Pan 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes.

The view from higher up shows the water course down the middle to the pavilion. When I was there in 1970 water wasn't flowing, it appears to have been restored to the original if you view online images. Sadly the wooden pavilion burned down at some point,... there's been a lot of unrest in the area.
I lived in a houseboat on Dal lake (in the background) when it was peaceful.
