I haven't yet bought a sony A7. Once again down to my aging full frame 111f
A meeting was called by the mayor to explain where we could park and location of food music and local wine stalls on the weekend our town would be closed to become a huge party with more than 50,000 tourists😱
A question was asked about dogs and there mess,there are 224 permanent residents in the four blocks between two local roads.
And 3 (three) dogs which have covered our roads with **** ground in by traffic😱
In the heat of southern France during summer there are flys and stink...when a dog pees or ****s beside your door😱
We decided to phot dogs and owners ****ting so far not many images...the dog people dont **** where theres anyone about
I saw a dog got out my phone pressed the button to start camera,a buzz then black screen & at last ready...to image a dog walking down the street
Sony NEX to big to carry about all the time panasonic TZ60 that a neibour has,fine ...get camera out press on switch,lens pops out raise to eye level focus and an image of dog walking away😱
This morning my 11c with elmer 50mm f3.5 was on the kitchen table.I slid it in my back jeans pocket lens facing in,then it won t snag
Took a light reading for the Ilford Delta 100asa,and went out
Remembered to remove 11c before getting in car🙂 did my things then decided to head back hoping "my" parking was free,it wasnt😡
I found a place in dog **** allee...one of the oldes roads in town with a street only just wide enough to drive and park---bikes and pedestrians have to get out of the way...the road was redone only four years ago
It had black top with a central drain...no longer used for sewage....just as it had been in the 16th centenary and before
I parked my 16th centuay citroen 2cv🙂 between a fat plastic monster and no parking sign🙂 took my 11c and walked home
At once there was a woman with a dog😱 11c lens out twist and image taken focus set for f4 so everything in focus from 5 meters
Next another dog as i pass the post office this time the dog ****s while its owner pees against a market place wall😡
iic aimed shutter button pressed he turned around hearing my foot steps,I looked down at my 11c rewinding as i walked and pressed the shutter again
No reaction man and dog joined the group where he took another breakfast can of bier
If id been using my phone or a modern canon mk3 or nikon d7 i might have had empty cans thrown at me😡
The small 11c is so quite very fast to use and so pocket-able, in the best way,it has to come out of the back pocket BEFORE sitting down at a cafe and as such ready
A leica M 3 or 9 or monochrome😱 I wish....would have remained on the kitchen table as did my sony NEX 6 or if i had an A7 that would defiantly not have gone out of the door with me this morning
Just as the plastic polluting monsters pouring off production lines to impoverish owners ...five years of $300 monthly repayments...also impoverishes the town.
Much better a 2cv or electric bike🙂 and for casual photography a 11c or 111f🙂 for example
The new canons nikons are simply enormous as the car and EXPENSIVE as a car there slow in town...i think
Why oylmpus panasonic or nikon cant make a 11c size or OM2 size full frame i dont know??sony did with the RX1 but sony is really over priced
In the 70s olypus mad the OM 1& 2 which were/are exactly the same size & weight as a Leica 111c
Much as i love my 111f, i do wish, i could come in, put a usb cable in and look at my images while i make coffee
I have two rolls of film and a third in the camera with 16 franes to go that will need developing and printing🙁
