I reciently won on of these on rbay in leica thread mount. I was wondering how it handles, whats the bokeh like, how it compares to say the tele-elmar. I would love to see some photos with it. I hear it has a good reputation, and that this version is quite rare. Any additional info would be great. Thank you.

Optical formula should be the same as the Nikon-S version. A thread on the lens was recently resurrected in the Nikon RF forum.

I don't know about rarity of the Leica version. In general they are fairly comon because, once SLRs were introduced, people preferred SLRs for longer telephoto work. But there are some rare early variations.

The Bokeh is perfect.

Stopped down to F5.6, the lens is very sharp. The formula remained "pretty much" the same through its production into the 80s. This may very well be Nikon's longest running Sonnar formula lens. The 10.5cm gave way to a Planar revision in the 70s, as did the 135/2.8.
