1947 Medalist II does TriX

Great pictures. Very smooth with good tonal range. I have visited this museum and library several times. It is worth the trip even if you are a democrat.

Thank you. I've been meaning to get over to Lyndon's spaces since I moved to College Station and haven't done it yet. And, my son even lives in Austin. I've passed W's library a number of times on the way to Addison and haven't stopped there either. Oh well, two years from now when I retire, I'll have all the time in the world. 🙂

W's library is also very impressive. When I visited W himself was there welcoming the visitors. A nice handshake and "thanks for coming to visit". Very personable.

I saw those shots over at APUG. Fantastic lens. Better than anything made today for sure. Makes me want to go buy one, but I have stuff to print in the darkroom. If I buy a camera I'll get sidetracked. Again. The image quality is just superb.

Well, these two were right up front and the hanger doors were wide open, so mostly natural light, but thank you. I was holding the Medalist when it went off.
🙂 The detail in the shadows far at the back holds up pretty well even on my screen. Also, a 'testimonial' for hand-holding the Medalist - as I prefer to lugging a tripod around .

Thank you. I was lugging my tripod around but was lucky enough to have the light to allow a 1/50 shutterspeed. My problem is finding a way to hold onto the thing while focusing; just not much to grab onto. Also, remembering how long the shutter release travels before releasing the wind-on.

I THINK I prefer the little fine focus knob on my Medalist I if I can just get it back from CLA. 🙂

More Tri-X from the Medalist II. An early morning shot of the rear of the Bush 41 Library. Red filter.

By the way, has anyone heard anything about Ken Ruth's recent illness? I sent him a Medalist I in March and the first time I checked with him, I was five up from the bottom of a list of 25 or so items. Most recently, my query was answered by someone named Terry who said Ken was ill and would reply 'when he feels better'.
