(Updated to correct model year. Ignore the date in the title.)

According to the vehicle number plate, this is a 2392-5 body, which would make it the Packard Eight Touring Sedan. However, there is some inconsistency with the trim that makes it look like the 2327-5 body, the Super Deluxe Eight Touring Sedan: Egg crate grills front and rear; side trim that connects with the oval tail light housings; large hub caps; and the larger rear window. The front bumper however doesn't look like the Super Deluxe version.

I would hope someday to own a Packard, as my family had a '48 model when I was growing up, so I kind of have an affinity for them. This one won't do though, as it's too rusty for me to tackle.

It got the nickname "Upside Down Bathtub" honestly.

I hope to see this old car again. It's been there for many years now, and will probably be for many more.

contact the various Packard clubs.

someone will want it.

Stephen

Knowing the folks in that valley, Stephan, I don't think it will be for sale for a long time. The owner may eventually get around to fixing it up, or the executor of the estate will have it hauled off.
