My 2012 resolution: This year, I will make a "25-best-of" photography book to share with friends and family.

Any other new year's hopes?

Trying to stay healthy .... and to identify cancer clusters in the USA ... and to reconnect with relatives and old friends.

As for photography related "resolution": consider B&W photography as an important part of my photography somehow.

Considered the whole one camera, one lens, one type of b&w film for the whole year but seeing as I'm just about to finish this years 365 I may go for one type of film a month each month or something.

New Years resolution no.1 on photography: redesign my website. The current website will be a blog and the new front pages will be aimed more on photography and high-quality prints.

New Years resolution no.2 on photography: do more printing myself. Digital that is, still no place for a wet dark room.

New Years resolution no.3 on photography: I want to publish a small booklet with 25 photo's as postcards. People can either keep the book or tear out the photo's and send them.

New Years resolution no.4 on photography: specialize more in portraitture.

It would be to enjoy my photographic efforts as much as I did in 2011, if I was a person who made resolutions. But, I am not.

To finally get my website up
Scan pages and pages of negs
And most importantly find time to use the darkroom i have at work!

photography related: work on printing, get a portfolio review, work on marketing, have fun. And develop my b&w film backlog and shoot more Portra.

Resolution - DMC-365!

Resolution - DMC-365!

I have committed to start a new blog about using my Lumix cameras for 365 days. It is going to be more than just a picture a day, and will include Lumix-centric tips, examples, etc. The resolution part is to post five times per week or more!

It is up, but posting will truly begin on 1/1/2012...

Not really a resolution but a plan. Nothing digital this year. All gear has been sold. Two projects lined up and both are to be done in film using the M3 and R4/R8. One in black and white, the other in color.

And then there are the other things photographically speaking....

1. Trim the herd! See point 2.

2. Come up with some new ideas. Have taken about 2 photos since August (and that was a holiday).

1. Shoot at least 1 roll of film/month (probably much more, but averaging here).
2. Process my own B&W at home.
3. Step outside of my comfort zone more, take more chances.
4. Sell at least 1 print to a complete stranger.
