25mm C & Cine Lenses on the Panasonic G1 ~ Who`s using them? ~ Post Photo Samples :D

Hello Again Folks!

Posting another Thread with some questions about vintage C mount and Cine mount 25mm lenses that Panasonic G1 owners have been testing and shooting with......

First of all I wanted to ask who`s making the most effective working adapters for the C mount or Cine mount to Micro 4/3`s?

And does anyone here have experience with the following 25mm lenses?

Angenieux f0.95 ~ f1.5 ~ f2 cine or c

Schneider-Kreuznach f0.95 ~ f1.4 ~ f1.9 ~ f2

Som Berthiot f1.4 ~ f1.5 ~ f1.8 ~ f1.9

Taylor & Hobson f1.5

Kinoptik f1.5 ~ f2

Kern Pillard Switar f1.5 ~ 1.4

Computar f1.3

And I`m sure I missed

Which lenses are winners? Which are dogs? (JUST COLLECTABLE)

Would be interesting to see some lenses that have the "Sonnar" or "Summarit/ Early Summilux" look to them *when stopped down* (f2/f4)

Owners please post pictures :)

Thanks

Tom

I have the Computar f1.3. Can´t say anything about it though cause I don´t have an m4/3 camera (yet). To me, so far all of the Oly and Pana offerings missed the mark.

Still no C mount or Cine fans out there on RFF?????? I`m sure they is, let`s see some samples of these 25mm lenses :)

Hi, I am using a c mount adapter on my G1. Did some shots with "fast" 25mm's. Some examples:

Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 25mm f/1.4

Bell & Howell 25mm f/1.9

Also have a Kern Paillard Yvar 1/1.8 and a Schneider-Kreuznach f1.4. No pictures to share yet, but will follow.

It's worth noting that a 25mm c-mount is the equivalent of a full frame 83mm, a 15mm is 50mm equivalent, and 10mm is a 33.3 equivalent

It's a 2x crop factor with 35mm lenses, so, for example, a 35mm pentax lens would be a 70mm on a m4/3 system. A 16mm lens has a crop factor of 3.33.

It's like how a 127mm MF lens is roughly 65 mm on a 35mm system.

Mephilco is referring to the standard coverage for C-mount lenses. But the ones the m4/3 crowd are using actually have more coverage than they required for their original purpose, and actually manage to cover the whole m4/3 sensor. So you can use a 25mm c-mount lens as you would 50mm normal, albeit with some vignetting and edge effects.
