Well, I think I figured out why I got such a good deal on my Snapshot Skopar that just arrived. The viewfinder is the old one with out bright lines. Didn't think to check before ordering. Oh well. Does anyone have any tips on framing with this viewfinder? Does it cover more than 25mm? ..or less? I can't find much about it when searching the web.

Thanks,
Paul

You could set the camera on a tripod with this lens and viewfinder, and aim it at a scene with distinctive reference points towards the edges of the lens coverage. Open the camera back, set it on B, and place a piece of clear processed film in the film gate. You can then compare the image visible on the film piece to the view you see in the viewfinder.

I do have a 25mm Voigtlander external finder without framelines.

Comparing to the 25mm frame lines on my R4M, and take that as reference, u will need to use the clearest and distortion free portion of the finder. U will see the images are not clear and distorted at the edge of the finder and u do not include those in your framing. I feel that the finder is still quite easy to use. Hope u understand what I am trying to say.
