A friend of mine says that the 27 (latest firmware) focuses more slowly than the 18 or the 25 on his XPRO. Anyone here have similar experiences?

Looks good to me, Joe. Maybe there's an X-P1 in my future (?).

Nice. Are these SOOC Jpegs, or did you put them through some plugins like Silver Efex?

i don't have silver efex...they are worked on (lightly, pse) jpegs.

Great photos, Joe! It's going to be hard to decide between the 27mm and the 23mm. Probably will come down to a matter of $$$.

I imagine the 23 will be a great lens but bigger and more expensive...

I agree.
This is a lens that is begging for an xe1
My main complaint is no lens shade, terrible lens cap. Would prefer a larger goofy one like the x100 that doesn't require tiny fingers to open and close and guessing where it goes.
Other than that...Great little addition to the bag!
How do you lock the aperture wheel on the X-Pro1 when using the 27mm? I'm sick of putting it in auto aperture mode and then hitting the little wheel on the body on accident giving myself f/16.

the thumb thing helps a lot...i never hit the q button any more and you have to seek out the wheel to change aperture.
Not using thumbs up or anything similar... I'm a neck strap user and I hate it digging into my chest.
