Is it easier to see than the 40 on the r3 or the same (i.e. tough for those with glasses, and requiring moving the eye around the VF)?

I can't compare to any other camera, but I have some trouble with those frame lines every now and then. I don't wear glasses, but even so I have to really push my eye close to the finder to see properly, but I have a pretty huge nose that gets somewhat in the way. 😉

That being said though, it no real problem for me to see the lines, but I imagine it would be with glasses on.

I wish I could find my glasses to have a better answer for you. That said I find the 28 lines slightly easier to see on the R-D1 than the 40 lines on my R3A(using my right eye to get my beak out of the way).

Not got much to compare to but I have to move my eye (or rather, my head or the camera) around a fair bit to be able to see the lines.

In default camera up to eye position I can see some of the top frameline. I can only ever see a corner or one line at a time.
