Hi Folks,
I'm in the market for a 28 or 25 and I'm leaning towards the Zeiss options but I'm worried that their larger sizes would block the finder. Anyone using the ZM25/28 on the R-D1? Could anyone fill me in on how much the 28 blocks the framelines and how much does the 25 blocks the entire finder? Additionally, does the smaller ultron not have blockage issues?
Thanks!

Can't say on the RD-1 but the RF patch is obstructed in an M7 or MP when focussing close and the hood is attached to the ZM 25. There is some VF blockage as well.

If it makes any difference to you, I have the 25mm Voigtlander Snapshot and can barely see it through the viewfinder if I try, under normal use, no finder blockage.

Hi kchong!
I use a ZM 25mm with my RD1 and can tell you that there is a little bit of RF-blockage by the hood. But only a little about 10 %. Not very disturbing.

Thanks George! That sounds encouraging. I'm almost dead set on the ZM25 but the only thing holding me back a little is F2.8...

That's strange, which hood do you use? At least I can't confirm this for the 25/28 hood.
Bye,
Michael
