Hello
I bought my ZM 28mm "used" although it was identical to one new in a box.
After about 2 months of heavy use, the front element assembly was extremely loose. I was on the other side of the globe and not in a position to spend my time calling zeiss to see if I could somehow manage a warranty repair even though I'm not the orig. owner, so I just paid to have it repaired locally. It is now about 3 weeks after the repair (3 more weeks of daily use) and the front element is loosening again. Has anyone else had this problem? My lens is USA bought but I'm in Canada. Who do I contact to see if I can get it covered?

I think that problem was discussed here some time ago as the "wobble" problem

Zeiss seems to be very good about keeping you happy- give them an email and see what they have to say.

I think this might be a case of the build problem. I have heard some words about the 50 planar developing this wobble, also my voigtlander 35 p2 has this problem. Fixing the problem involves tightening down one of the rings in the lens, but mine has since started to come loose again.
