All;
I have a 28mm F/2.8 ASPH Elmarit that I used on my M8.2 (before it was stolen).

Even though the CL has framelines for a 40, 50 and 90, is a 28mm usable on a CL? My understanding was that you could use the entire periphery of the viewfinder frame. My 28 is the new one, which does not have a deep, protruding rear element, which could damage the CL's meter arm. My lens is safe.
Anybody else using 28mm on a CL?
Thanks
Brad

I use a CV 25/4 on a Bessa 2 without an external viewfinder, and use the viewing method that your described. It is close enough for me. I'd suspect that the entire viewfinder for the CL is also close enough to show the field of a 28.
