Just to expand (and not hijack) JimG's thread on 35mm Summarons, I'd be interested to see any photos using one of these rare early Leica 28mm's....anybody have one?
They *are* rare. A friend of mine in Adelaide (works as a repairer for Leica, Hasselblad kit) has the 28 Summaron, with the original hood, that he went to huge effort to pick up from somewhere. It's the smallest piece of glass I've ever seen in Leica mount, I reckon. Must ask if i can take a few pictures with it, some time. 🙂
thanks you both.
not mine.
i almost bought a black 56 in 1985 for 5k but was late to look at,wahhhhh
jim i still have the film but have been procrastinating...haa
I have the 28 6.3 and just shot a series in an old coffee roasting plant with my uncoated lenses, 50 3.5 Elmar, 28 6.3 Hektor and 90 elmar, on Bergger 200 run in DK-50. It gives a nice vintage look. I will try and scan a couple of images tomorrow and post them. I shot all images wide open and was quite surprised at how sharp they all are. The vintage look comes form a bit of flare due to no coatings.
