I've been using a 40mm lens on my film cameras for the past several months, and I like it very much. Problem is, Nikon doesn't make a 40mm lens for DX. I think it would be a 28mm FX lens which would give 42mm DX. So I am wondering if anyone has tried using a 28mm lens on their digital DX? I am not going to wait on Nikon to come out with a 40mm equivalent DX prime, and zooms are too bulky and heavy for my taste: I think they belong on a tripod, but that's just me.
What have your experiences been with using any kind of FX prime on a DX camera? 28mm FX on DX would be wonderful, but I will take anything I can get.
Thanks to all who reply.
With best regards,
