Hi chaps
I love my Utron f1.9 28mm lens but having been using the 35 Skopar for a while, it suddenly feels huge!
How does the newer 28mm f2 stack up size wise?
Does anyone have either a pic of it on the R-D1 from above without the hood or the measurement of how far it protrudes from the body, again without the hood?
Cheers

I've owned my ultron for about 8 years or so and it's one of those lenses I just can't part with. It's bigger than some 28's but not overly large. It just feels good on the camera.
The Ultron f/2 is only slightly smaller than the f/1.9 version. If you have the cash, add the 28mm color skopar also for when you need a small lens... it is really good.

28 skopar??
Oh right, the f3.5. OK thanks, worth looking at!

I have both the Ultron 28/2 and Color Skopar 28/3.5. While both are good lenses, I find the Ultron is pretty soft at corners and edges until f/4-5.6 where the CS is pretty sharp even wide open.
Curiously, though, the Ultron performs better on the M9 than the CS. The CS has pronounced color shading issues, where the Ultron has virtually none.
Since I'm moving away from the M9 in favor of the A7 with R lenses, I'll likely keep the CS to use with m-mount film cameras.

I live my ultron f1.9 and find it sharp enough all over whereas the 35skopar I feel is a bit soft at the edges and it's harder to frame shots with.
Drool worthy...

Where can I find that grip?
