Hello there,

I have a quick question concerning the 28mm external viewfinder. If I stick the finder to the accessoire shoe of a camera, the horizontal alignment of the famelines is different from what I see through the camera viewfinder. In fact, the horizontal seen through the external viewfinder is rotated for around 10-20 degrees, which makes it very hard to use it for composition.

Is it supposed to be that way? Is there an easy wayto fix it myself, or should I send it back to the seller?

I hope the finder does not have to be sent back to Cosina Japan, as it could take several weeks to get it adjusted.

Thanks!

I have the Cosina plastic 35mm finder, and it had the same problem when I got it. On the 35 finder, all I had to do was remove two screws to get into the finder, and rotate the element that has the framelines on it until it was oriented correctly.

The only screws I can see are those, that attach the base to the actual finder. It's the 28mm metal finder by the way. Actually, I do not want to mess with the warranty and guess I will just send it back, if there is no assurance, that it can be done easily.Oh well...
