30/5.6 Center Filter

I'll find out for myself in a weeks, but how essential is the center filter on the 30mm lens? I found it completely unnecessary on the 45mm lens, but of course I like a bit of vignetting. Does anyone have shots from the 30mm without the center ND filter? I managed to find a cheapish copy, but it's the TX-1 version, so it's ugly champagne!

Not need unless you shoot mostly slides and "wide opened." OTOH, even then, it's not so bad either.
