photographer's favorite lens, 35/2.5 Color Skopar fails to 'get the shot"

as the DRUDGE REPORT would say 'developing HARD...." :D

I was standing on a dock next to The Pilgrim, zooming back would only get the pier railing in the way ;) I love the 35 but I was sure that it was not going to fly with a large close object. I am beginning to love the 25/4 even though it is not coupled if I can set it at f16 the DOF is from less than 3ft to infinity.

Fully agreed, but always take your eye away from the viewfinder when stepping backwards!

I learned this almost the hard way when taking pictures from that famous bridge in London; you know, that's the place where they drive on quite an unconventional side of the road. I stepped back from the pavement on the road without looking left, and was only kept from becoming as flat as a pancake by the quick reflexes of one of the local drivers whom I guess are somewhat used to tourists..
