I was standing on a dock next to The Pilgrim, zooming back would only get the pier railing in the way

I learned this almost the hard way when taking pictures from that famous bridge in London; you know, that's the place where they drive on quite an unconventional side of the road. I stepped back from the pavement on the road without looking left, and was only kept from becoming as flat as a pancake by the quick reflexes of one of the local drivers whom I guess are somewhat used to tourists..
